On November 3, Feminists Deliver hosted a symposium where attendees talked about how white supremacy, racism, ableism, transphobia, and other systems of oppression prevent them from accessing the healthcare they deserve.

More $10-a-day childcare spaces

More $10-a-day childcare spaces

A total of 1,370 more childcare spaces have been converted to the $10-a-day program at 18 centres throughout the province. There are now nearly 8,200 $10-a-day spaces in B.C.

  • The province plans to add more than 4,000 more $10-a-day childcare spaces over the next couple of months, bringing the total to 12,500 by the end of the year.
  • Spaces in the $10-a-day ChildCareBC program reduce the average cost of childcare from $1,000 a month at participating facilities (for full-time, centre-based infant care) to $200 a month, saving families approximately $800 a month per child on average
